Plates & Wall Hangings

Donated

The two above are wall hangings I did. The one on the left has a slight curve and can be used as a bowl.

I donated the piece to the left to the Fayette Youth Protection Home for their annual Angels Among Us fund-raiser. I now have five non-profits that I work with: the Fayette Youth Protection Home, Christian City, the Fayette Art Center & Gallery and Offshoot Productions and recently I added the American Cancer Society to the list.

My woven platters and bowls are another favorite. They can be used as a wall hanging, which is what I've done with my own, or used as a low bowl. They work great as a fruit bowl as they allow fresh air to come in from all sides. The rustic wood look of the clay combined with whatever color I match makes it the kind of piece that goes almost anywhere (except with fine china possibly!).

I know this looks crooked in this photo, but it's not. I just took the shot at a weird angle... The photo doesn't do justice to the blue highlights in this piece either. I'll try again.
